KYVU provides the place and KY universities and colleges provide the courses.

KYVU is your online connection to e-learning opportunities. By partnering with public and private university and college providers from across the state we are able to offer you, the student, the ability to continue your education through distance learning. This new learning format allows you to complete many credits and even some entire programs without ever stepping foot on a campus.

Although KYVU provides access to courses, you are technically a student of a particular college or university. This institution will be your "home" institution. Generally, this will be the institution offering the degree you are earning. KYVU does not issue academic credit or degrees. If you complete a program offered through KYVU, your degree will bear the name of the college or university in which you are enrolled.

One of the greatest aspects of KYVU is that you only need to apply to the college(s) of your choice once and pay only one application fee. We submit your application to the college(s) offering the course(s) in which you are registered. After being accepted, you are well on your way to the higher education you’ve been seeking.

*We do need to tell you a few details about taking courses from different institutions. If you take courses from different institutions, you will be responsible for all fees and tuitions applicable to each institution. You will also be responsible for checking the transferability of credits to your "home" institution.
