What do I need to do before registering for a course?

The first thing you need to do, is look through the course schedule and decide on the course(s) you want to take.

Where do I go to register?

There are several links in our site that will get you to the registration page.

From the home page,

• Register for courses – in the text
• Programs and Courses link in the left Navigator bar

From the course schedule,

• Register For Courses – button at the top
• Register – in the navigation bar on the left

You can also get to the registration page directly from the course description pages by clicking the Register for Courses button at the top of the page.

I found the registration page, now what?

Once you’ve gotten to the registration page, you should know which course(s) you want to register for and what term (semester) they are offered.

Scroll down the page to find the section of the registration page for the upcoming semesters (shown at the right).

Which Register button do I use?

Each semester will have two Register buttons, one for New KYVU Students and one for Current KYVU Students.

New Students

If you are a new KYVU student – you’ve never registered through KYVU.

• Click the Register button in the gray box for the appropriate semester. The Register button will take you to the beginning page of our registration system.
• Then click the Apply Now! link in the upper left corner of the page. You will need to completely fill out the application and registration form.

For your convenience, we have combined these two forms into the same form.

Within a few days after submitting your registration (usually 48 hours), you will receive an e-mail from KYVU giving you a Login ID and Password. This will be accompanied with instructions on how to access the KYVU Student Information System. This is not your acceptance into the course(s) you registered for. This is your acceptance into KYVU. This Login and password will allow you to view your registration status and update your personal information (address, e-mail, phone, etc.) in KYVU’s system.

Current Students

If you have ever enrolled at KYVU, you are considered a current student. You already have a Login ID and Password for the KYVU Student Information System. Simply Login to the system and register for your course(s). If you have forgotten this information, please call KYVU at 877.740.4357 or e-mail at [email protected].

How do I know when the Admission process is complete?

Your registration information is automatically transmitted to the institution(s) providing your course(s). If they need more information for admission purposes, they will contact you directly.

Your admission and enrollment in the requested course(s) are in a pending state until the institution forwards their approval or denial to KYVU.

Upon receipt of approval, KYVU enrolls you in the course(s) and now considers you an enrolled user. You will also receive an e-mail giving you a User Name and Password along with instructions on how to login to your course(s).
