Boolean logic specifies the logical relationship between words. The words AND and OR are boolean operators.

OR–searches for either word you type in and therefore broadens and enlarges your search results. OR is good for searching synonyms.

The phrase guns OR firearms will retrieve any item that contains the word guns, as well as any item that contains the word firearms.
