Be aware of the ways in which information formats relate to the currency of information:

Information Currency	Information Formats
immediately	television, radio, certain databases and web sites
after one day	newspapers, certain databases
after a week	some magazines
after one to three months	other magazines, scholarly journals
after a year or more	books
after several years	reference tools

There are exceptions to all of these (the Starr Report was a book within a week of its release), but the sequence given above is usually accurate.
