KYVU Awards

KYVU has earned numerous awards since its groundbreaking:

2004 Award

• KyEducators.org won the Award of Merit for Electronic Communications (Internet Webpage) from the Kentucky Association of Government Communicators.

2003 Award

• The Kentucky Virtual Adult Education website (KYVAE.org) received the Innovative Use of Technology Award from the National Association of Chief Information Officers.

2002 Awards

• Kentucky Virtual Library for Kids received the Golden Web Award from the International Association of Webmasters and Designers.
• Kentucky Virtual Library Annual Report received an “Award of Merit” from the Kentucky Association of Government Communicators.
• Kentucky Virtual University website received the “Award of Excellence” from the Kentucky Association of Government Communicators.
• Kentucky Virtual University’s outreach efforts received an “Award of Merit” from the Kentucky Association Government Communicators.

2001 Award

• The Kentucky Virtual Library was named the Outstanding Library Program of the Southeast by the Southeastern Library Network (Solinet).

2000 Award

• The Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education was named a Computerworld Smithsonian Laureate for visionary technology leadership in establishing the Kentucky Virtual University and the Kentucky Virtual Library.
